What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme funds support for people with a permanent and significant disability.

It gives each person their own funded plan, built around their goals. You choose the providers who deliver those supports. That is where a registered provider like Lycon Care comes in.

Three ways plans are managed

We welcome participants on every plan type.

Agency managed

The NDIA pays your providers directly. You choose from registered providers, like Lycon Care.

Plan managed

A plan manager pays your invoices and looks after the paperwork, giving you wide choice with less admin.

Self managed

You hold the funding and manage your own supports, with the most flexibility and control.

Common questions

Can I choose my support worker?

Yes. We match participants with support workers based on their needs and preferences, and we listen if you would ever like a change.

What if I need to change my support services?

Participants can request changes at any time. Our team will work with participants and support coordinators to adjust supports as needed.

How do I make a complaint or provide feedback?

Lycon Care welcomes feedback. Participants can contact our team directly, or escalate concerns to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission if required.

Do I need a referral to choose Lycon Care?

No. Participants, family members and support coordinators can all reach out to us directly. We will talk through your needs and explain the next steps in plain language.

How do I find out if I am eligible for the NDIS?

Eligibility depends on your age, disability and residency. The best place to check is the official site, ndis.gov.au, or you can call us and we will point you in the right direction.

How quickly will you respond to an enquiry or referral?

We reply within one business day. From there we will arrange a time to talk and get to know the participant and their goals.

Support coordinators, we make it easy.

Send the details and we take it from there, keeping you informed at every step.
